A Samurai Sword Lesson at the Sensei’s Residence
Step into the world of the Samurai in a traditional Japanese house. Train with a master Sensei and experience Battodo and Iaido, Samurai spirit, a traditional tea ceremony, and sword cutting.
Not a costume and a photo booth. You change into traditional dress, learn the etiquette, and train with authentic swords under a master, at his own home — with your guide interpreting so nothing is lost.

Meet at the Sensei’s residence. Directions are sent with your booking confirmation.
Cancellation policy
As we need to make preparations for the tatami mats in advance, we would greatly appreciate it if you could let us know of any cancellation at least one week in advance. Free cancellation up to one week before the experience. If you book directly with us, we refund the amount paid less the card processing fee. Cancellations within one week of the experience, and no-shows, are not refunded.
If you book through Viator, Viator’s cancellation policy applies instead.

We had a wonderful samurai sword experience at a master's own home. We used authentic swords, in traditional Japanese kimonos, under his expert supervision. It really was a "wow" memory for us. We then enjoyed a superb lunch complemented by a selection of sake. A truly memorable day.
Training under a real samurai master was absolutely incredible — transformative, humbling, and deeply moving. In just a few hours, we felt like we truly stepped into the world of the samurai. The traditional house tour and tea ceremony added such authenticity and depth.
