What an amazing day in Tokyo with Hitomi! We visited several spots around the city including the fish market, Harajuku, Shibuya and the Meiji Shrine. Hitomi gave us choices ahead of time and tailored our day to the sites we chose. Her communication was phenomenal, and she helped us to feel comfortable everywhere we went. We would have been overwhelmed without her.

Kaz created such a beautiful and meaningful first day for us in Japan. He shared his wealth of knowledge of history and culture as well as personal stories, and he also helped us to understand the subway system.

It was my family's first time in Tokyo and Hitomi showed us everything: trains and subways, shrines and temples, parks and busy streets, and the yummiest ramen restaurant. We had fun, learnt a lot, and never felt too overwhelmed or unsure.

We had a wonderful samurai sword experience at a master's own home. We used authentic swords, in traditional Japanese kimonos, under his expert supervision. It really was a "wow" memory for us. We then enjoyed a superb lunch complemented by a selection of sake. A truly memorable day.

Training under a real samurai master was absolutely incredible — transformative, humbling, and deeply moving. In just a few hours, we felt like we truly stepped into the world of the samurai. The traditional house tour and tea ceremony added such authenticity and depth.

We requested a no-other-tourists programme, and in Tokyo that is not easy, but Miyuki gave us the goods. Included lunch was sensational, as was afternoon coffee in a hidden venue no one would know about. Both authentic and secluded.

We have used the same guide twice now, two years in a row. She listens carefully to what we want to see and tailors her tours to take full advantage of our requests. In 2024 we asked to see a typical Japanese neighbourhood so we could experience daily life, and in 2025 she took us to the Tsukiji Outer Market.

From the beginning, Hiro communicated with us very early and well to see what our wish list was, gave suggestions, and made reservations when we could not do it online. He was very accommodating, attentive, knowledgeable, and patient.
