Booking and payment

Tours booked through Viator, GetYourGuide or byFood are subject to that platform’s terms as well as these. Tours booked directly with us are confirmed by email, and payment terms are stated in the confirmation.

Cancellation

Cancellation terms differ by tour and are stated on each tour page. Where a third party has been booked on your behalf — a dojo, an ochaya, a brewery — their terms apply and are passed on to you before you commit.

If we cancel

If we cancel for any reason within our control, you receive a full refund. If a tour cannot run because of weather, transport failure or a closure outside our control, we will offer an alternative day or a refund of the parts not already spent on your behalf.

Your responsibilities

Please tell us in advance about mobility needs, allergies and dietary requirements. Japan is uneven and we can route around almost anything if we know first. Travel insurance is your responsibility and we recommend it.
