Inuyama Castle in Aichi prefecture Japanese Castle, Yamajiro

Inuyama castle was built in 1537 by Oda Nobuyasu of Owari domain. Famous warrior such as Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi owned this castle in the period of civil war. Yamajiro, the castle on the mountain could be besieged during the battle. To protect the Shogun and his families, it was important to build the castle on the higher place.
